Labyrinth Speech

January 19, 2012
I love this movie and I love this scene even more as years go on. So, here is the final scene between The Goblin King and Sarah in Labyrinth.

: Sarah, beware. I have been generous up ‘til now. I can be cruel.
: Generous? What have you done that’s generous?
: Everything! Everything that you wanted I have done. You asked that the child be taken. I took him. You cowered before me, I was frightening. I have reordered time. I have turned the world upside down, and I have done it all for you! I am exhausted from living up to your expectations of me. Isn’t that generous?
Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City. For my will is as strong as yours, and my king…
Stop! Wait. Look, Sarah. Look what I’m offering you. Your dreams.
: And my kingdom as great.
I ask for so little. Just let me rule you and you can have everything that you want.
Sarah: Kingdom as great. Damn! I can never remember that line.
Jareth: Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave.
Sarah: You have no power over me.

  1. Clearly the best movie of all time, this is also one of my favourite scenes…. tho personaly it wouldnt have taken more then:

‘Jareth: Stop! Wait. Look Sarah. Look what I’m offering you. Your dreams’.

I would have been like…. “hell yeah, get over here you bad boy” xD

      1. No. I’m kinda afraid to start reading fanfiction. Not because I think it’s bad or anything negative like that. I have such a big reading list (which keeps increasing with every book I finish) I’m afraid of getting sucked in.

      2. Lol exactly my thoughts these days. I used to read tonns of it & now i have about 150 unread books on my kindle and i’ve recently received 15 books from lovely authors to review. Lol, oh well 🙂 what are you reading at the moment?

      3. Aahh cool, thanks for the heads up. Added it to my ‘to read’ list on goodreads. Im reading for reviews at the moment. Pretty much anything an author sends me 🙂 ! Its a good way to discover genres you wouldnt normaly read.
